Casa Laurel is a demo twin used to show finishes rather than a customer deployment. Materials are applied to the model's real surfaces at real size, so a floor is judged as a floor instead of as a four-inch sample — and the schedule of what went where stays on the twin afterwards.
The problem this example is built around: a 4-inch tile sample and a 40-square-metre floor are not the same decision. Choices get made from swatches and renders that flatter them, and reversing one after installation is the expensive kind of mistake.
The floor is judged at full size before it is bought. The wrong choice gets found for nothing, rather than after installation.
Worked example On the Casa Laurel demo twin — not a customer deployment
Materials are applied to the model's actual surfaces — the whole floor, the whole wall — so the scale and repeat read correctly. Comparing two options is switching between them in place rather than imagining the difference.
Because the finishes live on the twin, the schedule of what went where survives the project. Matching a repair three years later is a lookup rather than an archaeology exercise.
