A builder's house type, shown to buyers as a configurable twin.

What runs on the twinOption configuration, buyer showcase, specification handoff
Barn House is the demo twin Scope3D uses to show Builder Config rather than a customer deployment. A buyer sees each option applied to their own model instead of to a show home, and what they choose carries through as a specification without being retyped.
The problem this example is built around: upgrade packages are a spreadsheet of line items and a few photographs of a show home that is not the buyer's unit. Buyers under-select because they cannot picture what they are choosing.
A buyer sees the upgrade on their own house before choosing it. The conversation moves off the price list and onto the room.
Worked example On the Barn House demo twin — not a customer deployment
Each option is applied to that buyer's model — their layout, their orientation, their light — and switched on and off in front of them. The decision is made looking at the result rather than at a number beside a description.
What is chosen carries straight through as a specification, so the house that gets built is the house that was sold, and nothing is transcribed between the two.
The buyer's own model:
Options applied to their layout, their orientation, their light.
Choose by looking:
The decision is made on the room rather than on a line in a list.
Specification carried through:
What was chosen reaches site without being transcribed.
