Fuel retail operations and the maintenance contractors who work across a network of sites. This is a twin we built and keep, not an account we hold. Every element on the twin keeps its own attributes and can carry an asset record. Disciplines are held as separate layers, so the canopy can be isolated from the shop.
Dispensers, canopy lighting and tank equipment all live on a schedule somewhere. Finding the one that failed means matching a line in a spreadsheet to a thing on a forecourt, usually over the phone, usually to a contractor who has never been to the site.
The schedule is accurate until the day something is replaced and nobody updates it.
Each unit opened on the twin with its record, position and service history. The site twin from above, then down onto the pump islands. Each dispenser is clicked in turn and answers with its position, its type and its record. The canopy is isolated on its own so the steel and the lighting above the islands can be reached without the shop in the way, and the height to the underside is measured where a tanker has to pass.

A dispenser fault raised at the site lands on the dispenser, not on the address. The next contractor to attend opens the same element and reads what the last one did.
Finding the asset:
Locate a dispenser or a light fitting by pointing at it rather than by reading a schedule.
Planning canopy work:
Reach the structure and the lighting with the rest of the site switched off.
Checking a clearance:
Measure the height a delivery vehicle has to clear, on the model.
